Robert Wessman – Executive Chairman

Robert Wessman is the majority owner and executive chairman of Salt Investments. He is a business graduate and former lecturer at the University of Iceland. He began his career at Samskip, one of Iceland's leading shipping companies, advancing to the post of CEO in Germany. From 1999, he led the pharmaceuticals company Delta, and when Actavis and Delta merged in 2002, he became CEO of the new group.

Robert arrived at the helm of Actavis having built himself a solid reputation in Europe for being a fast thinking and ambitious businessman. Under his inspired leadership, the Actavis group enjoyed an unprecedented period of expansion and acquisitions that put the company at the forefront in the generic pharmaceuticals sector. Although no longer CEO, he retains a seat on the Actavis board.

Now devoting more of his time and business acumen to Salt Investments, Robert Wessman has assembled a dynamic team of experienced managers and administrators to manage the company's operations.
